A Classification of 2-Chains having 1-Shell Boundaries in rosy Theories
We classify, in a non-trivial amenable collection of functors, all 2-chains up to the relation of having the same 1-shell boundary. In particular, we prove that in a rosy theory, every 1-shell of a Lascar strong type is the boundary of some 2-chain, hence making the 1st homology group trivial. We also show that, unlike in simple theories, in rosy theories there is no upper bound on the minimal ...
متن کاملMore on 2-chains with 1-shell boundaries in rosy theories
In [4], B. Kim, and the authors classified 2-chains with 1shell boundaries into either RN (renamable)-type or NR (non renamable)-type 2-chains up to renamability of support of subsummands of a 2-chain and introduced the notion of chain-walk, which was motivated from graph theory : a directed walk in a directed graph is a sequence of edges with compatible condition on initial and terminal vertic...
متن کاملCharacterizing rosy theories
We examine several conditions, either the existence of a rank or a particular property of þ-forking that suggest the existence of a well-behaved independence relation, and determine the consequences of each of these conditions towards the rosiness of the theory. In particular we show that the existence of an ordinal valued equivalence relation rank is a (necessary and) sufficient condition for ...
متن کاملOn the n-uniqueness of types in rosy theories
We prove that in a rosy theory, the n-uniqueness of a strong type p implies the strong n-uniqueness of p. In addition we study some of the boundary properties of p. In [5], given a strong type p = tp(c/A) in a stable theory T , if T has (≤ n)-uniqueness while p does not have (n + 1)-uniqueness then, over an infinite Morley sequence of the type of some finite tuple c′ ∈ acl(cA) over A witnessing...
متن کاملMeasure - Theoretic Boundaries of Markov Chains , 0 - 2 Laws And
The classic Poisson formula giving an integral representation of bounded harmonic functions in the unit disk in terms of its boundary values has a long history (as it follows from its very name). Given a Markov operator P on a state space X one can easily deene harmonic functions as invariant functions of the operator P, but in order to speak about their boundary values one needs a boundary, be...
